How to Check if your Trademark is Available
When you file your trademark application using Trademarken, the Trademarken software automatically searches the existing registered trademarks that may conflict with your trademark. Note that trademarks are registered against different goods and services, meaning that identical trademarks can be registered for different goods and services.
For example, the trademark 'Duffy' could be registered for both socks and beer by different people. The Trademarken software is smart, in that when searching for existing registered trademarks, it automatically takes into account your goods and services, and only highlights those trademarks which have been registered for the same or related goods and services.
